Just prior to the premiere of a new series of forums in the Space Theatre of the Adeladie Festival Centre, television host, radio personalily and journalist Fenella Kernebone spoke with The Barefoot Review about her upcoming role, hosting the new "In Conversation With" forums.
‘In Conversation With’ premiered on Monday 28th March, as the first of several dynamic dialogues about arts and culture which was timed to coincide with the Come Out Festival.
ABC’s Art Nation presenter Fenella Kernebone hosted the event which included four guest speakers from a wide range of backgrounds and artistic persuits. The panelists included Bodil Alling - Artistic Director of Teatret Gruppe 38 from Denmark, Tony Reekie, Director of Imaginate from Scotland, Sally Chance - Freelance Artist and former director of the Come Out Festival from Australia and Guy Claxton - Professor of the Learning Sciences and Co-Director of the Centre for Real-World Learning at the University of Winchester in the United Kingdom.
The question posed at this, the first debate of many was “Think Small – putting children’s confidence in their unique creativity at the centre of our thinking.” The debate, which took the format of a Q&A style seminar, was attended by a range of artistic practitioners as well as members of the education industry and journalists.
