Martin is a freelance teacher/ director/ writer working in schools and the community as The ESP Travelling Showman. He is a directing graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, holds an Hons. BA in Theatre Studies from Adelaide University and an MA in Australian Studies from Flinders University. He was inaugural Artistic Director of Riverland Youth Theatre and has directed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His tally of plays written, produced or directed reached one hundred some years ago. He was a 2012 Adelaide Finge Award theatre assessor and is a recipient of a 2012 Friendly Street Poets Inc. poetry mentorship. His theatrical passion has always been turning the written word into strong supportive visual images within a production.
