Deborah is a journalism and international studies graduate from the University of South Australia and entered the wonderful world of arts critiquing in 2006 as a sub-editor for the student association magazine, Entropy. She subsequently began reviewing music, film, comedy and theatre for the Independent Weekly and the Adelaide Fringe Festival for Radio Adelaide. Deborah has also worked as a reporter for the ABC in regional Australia, where, among other things, she learned to appreciate the merits of country music. Currently, Deborah is working in the area of Indigenous Affairs in Canberra and looks forward to seeing more Indigenous performance and unearthing the best the arts scene has to offer in our nation’s capital. Since moving to the ACT, she has taken up burlesque and “Jane Austen era” dance classes, and is thoroughly enjoying them both.
